prayer_8935cSummer is a great time to rest and find renewal for our spirits, so that we can more clearly hear God’s voice in our days.   It may be a great season to try a different spiritual practice of prayer.   Consider trying Centering Prayer.   A group experience occurs weekly for about 30 minutes on Wednesdays at 12:15 pm (Tower Room off the sanctuary).   Or Taize, a 30 minute service of prayer, music, scripture and silence on the first Thursday of each month (June 1, July 6, August 3), held in the Martin Room at 6:00 pm.  How about spending an afternoon in the beauty of McCann School by enjoying Sabbath Away on Sunday afternoon, 25th?   Or maybe you would appreciate talking to one of the Spiritual Directors who are members of our congregation to help you discover a sense of how/who God is calling you to be and use your gifts (Jackie Hook or Mary Jane Kistler can tell you more about this).
