Summer Sunday School 2017 ~ Celebrating God’s Creation

This summer we have FUN plans for Summer Sunday School for children ages 4 – Grade 3 (completed).  Our theme is “Celebrating God’s Creation.”  We will cover many areas this summer from our opening movie: School House Rock! EARTH on June 11, to actually making food, and planting seeds, and learning about pollinators, and general care for our EARTH!  Each Sunday will be different and very HANDS ON!  We can all learn about how beautiful creation is, and how to care for it !  There will be a special couple of Sundays where the children will be making art with textiles, as a fun treat!

We have lead teachers already but need several assistants to make the whole plan work well.  Older children/youth often like to assist, and that’s great!  Just let Deannine (238-2422) know if you want to help!  You can also use the SIGN UP Genius to sign up.

  • June 18 and 25 – Foods from the Earth and for our Friends with Mike and Amy Gordon
  • July 2 is off for the holiday
  • July 8 and 16 – Textiles & Art (special Project for children) with Heather and Paul Bruhn
  • July 23 and 30 – Movie: The Lorax, Part 1 and 2
  • August 6 and 13 – Seeds and Pollinators (maybe digging in the dirt!) with Chip and Jeanne Clark

AND — we absolutely NEED extra helping hands for each week!!  Assistants to help with the children and the artists for each week – 2 adults and 2 youth could be very helpful.

If you are able, please use the signup genius link and sign up for helping so our Artist in Residence program will happen this summer.
