Young at Heart is a fellowship group for persons age 55 and older. The group meets monthly, usually on the 2nd Friday of the month, for a pot-luck dinner followed by a program. All who are “young at heart” are invited. Just bring a covered dish and your own table service and enjoy an evening of fellowship. It is a great way to meet other church members and make new friends.
Contact Linda Morrow (814-237-5858), George Pedlow (814-574-7645) or the church office, 814-238-2422.
Young at Heart will celebrate the end year program on Friday, June 16th, with a picnic at Spring Creek Park. As usual, everyone will bring a dish to share, utensils for serving it and their own table service. Iced iced tea and water will be the only beverages available. We will gather between 5:00 and 5:15 so the buffet line can start at 5:30.
In addition to your cup, plate and utensils (as well as your nametag!) everyone is asked to bring program ideas for next year. We will have a “table game” to encourage and challenge groups to create lists of potential programs for the future. If you are “young at heart,” despite chronological age (50 or better), plan to join your SCPC friends for our end of the year picnic.
Spring Creek Park is located off Houserville Road (901 Houserville Rd.) between East College Avenue and Puddintown Rd. We will meet in Pavilion #2. It is the second pavilion as you walk in from the main parking lot, past the restrooms and between the covered footbridge and the tennis courts.
