Young at Heart is a fellowship group for persons age 55 and older. The group meets monthly, usually on the 2nd Friday of the month, for a pot-luck dinner followed by a program. All who are “young at heart” are invited. Just bring a covered dish and your own table service and enjoy an evening of fellowship. It is a great way to meet other church members and make new friends.

Young at Heart ~ May 19
On May 19, Young at Heart will gather for our potluck dinner and a program focused on opioid addiction problems in Centre County. SCPC member and former Chief of Police, Tom King, will introduce the speakers from the Criminal Justice Advisory Board and the Youth Service Bureau in Centre County. Though the problem is not as severe locally as in other areas of Pennsylvania, it is still an issue frequently faced by local law enforcement and health care providers.
Young at Heart is the fellowship group for seniors (adults of ANY age) at SCPC. We meet monthly from September through June, often on the third Friday of the month, in the Social Hall. No RSVP is needed – just arrive around 5:00 for conversation over coffee/tea while you set up your things for the potluck supper. Bring main course, salad, side, or dessert to share (your choice), 2 utensils to serve it, and your own table service plus a name tag. Your own table service means: dinner/dessert plate(s), silverware, cup(s) for water/coffee/tea and a napkin. The potluck buffet starts at 5:30 and the program follows usually about 6:30 pm. We are typically done about 7:30 pm.
The final Young at Heart for the season is June 16.
