Young at Heart in November
November’s Young at Heart program offers the opportunity to hear from Dean Lindsey, who will be sharing information about early Christian views of death and resurrection and how these beliefs shaped burial practices in Rome between the second and fourth centuries. On their trip to Rome in July, Dean and Peggy stayed in a B&B along the Via Appia Antiqua, the Ancient Appian Way, several miles from the center of Rome where several of the significant catacomb sites are located.
Young at Heart is the fellowship group for seniors (adults of ANY age) at SCPC. We meet monthly September through June. No RSVP is needed. Just arrive around 5:00 for conversation over coffee/ tea while you set up things for the potluck supper. Bring a main dish, salad, side, or dessert (your choice), two utensils to serve it, your own table service plus your name tag. Your own table service means: dinner/dessert plates, silverware, cup(s) for water/coffee/tea, and a napkin. The potluck buffet starts at 5:30 with program to follow, usually about 6:30. We are typically out by 7:30. If you would like more information about Young at Heart, please speak with Linda Morrow, Al or Jane Butler or Sharon Manno.
