Austin Crenshaw Shelley will be our Guest Preacher on Sunday, February 19
A native of South Carolina, Austin Crenshaw Shelley received her M.Div. and Th.M. degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary and was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in 2012. She currently serves as Associate Minister for Christian Education at The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia. Outside of her work within the church, she also serves on the executive council of The Young Clergy Women Project as managing editor for Fidelia, the organization’s online magazine. Her writing and research appear in Fidelia, The Encyclopedia for Biblical Reception, and The Christian Century.
Austin formerly taught studio art, Spanish, and Latin in the public school system and is married to Mark, also a public school teacher. They have three children who keep them young and humble.
Austin looks forward to any opportunity to share her love of children’s ministry, her passion for sacred music and the arts, and her firmly held belief that our true identity is found in our belonging to God.
