Date: Wednesday 04 December 2013

Time: 11:00 am

Place: SCPC -- Social Hall

As we move into this season of Advent and Christmas, we invite you to intentionallyhdr-logo consider how you give, much like we do in stewardship.

These opportunities, found at SCPC in the upcoming weeks, give you the chance to be mindful in your gift-giving, decorating and hosting. The Deacons, Mission Ministry Unit and Young Adults of SCPC are co-sponsoring these great opportunities on Wednesday, December 4 and Thursday, December 5 (11:00 am – 1:00 pm) and Sundays, December 8 and 15 between services.  The sale will be held in the Social Hall.

  • The SERRV Sale  is a nonprofit organization that works to eradicate poverty by providing opportunity and support to artisans and farmers throughout the developing world. When you buy SERRV products you are paying the men and women who create these beautiful products a fair wage. A large selection of items will be available for purchase from SERRV, as well as a similar organization called Thai Village.
  • Fair trade coffee and chocolate items will be available for purchase from Equal Exchange.  You can even make a gift basket!
  • And, if you’re buying for that special someone in your life who has everything, consider looking at the alternative gift giving options from our mission partners, which will be available next to the SERRV Sale.  Alternative gift giving allows you to make a donation (often in the form of a specific item) to a charitable organization in the name of your gift recipient.
