Date: Friday 13 October 2017
Place: SCPC ~ Social Hall
On Friday, October 13, Young at Heart welcomes the Rev. Al Wilson to present our program. Al will share his insights and related material as he discusses the book, A Brief History of Sunday, by Justo Gonzalez (2017). Rev. Wilson has been active in Presbyterian Church ministry since graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1962, serving churches in Perth Amboy, NY, Havre de Grace, MD and DuBois, PA, from which he retired in 2002. Al enjoys serving the Huntingdon Presbytery, volunteering with others at Camp Krislund most Thursdays, traveling, and other events with family, which includes Christopher Wilson, and SCPC members Diana Malcom, and Laura Steager.
Young at Heart is the fellowship group for seniors (adults of ANY age) at SCPC. We meet monthly September through June, often on the third Friday of the month in the Social Hall. No RSVP is needed. Just arrive around 5:00 for conversation over coffee/ tea while you set up things for the potluck supper. Bring a main dish, salad, side, or dessert (your choice), two utensils to serve it, your own table service plus your name tag. Your own table service means: dinner/dessert plates, silverware, cup(s) for water/coffee/tea, and a napkin. The potluck buffet starts at 5:30 with program to follow, usually about 6:30. We are typically out by 7:30. If you would like more information about Young at Heart, please speak with Linda Morrow, Al or Jane Butler or Sharon Manno.
